  I'm not sure why, but i've been listening to this song over & over lately-

well i left my baby for a dream as lovely,
for a love that's only in books i read.
and then i hit the cities, spent all my money,
i just left my whole life in a taxi cab.
cause it's just a memory, i can't love completely,
when you're really with me, i'm indifferent.
but i try to get my head clear,
it's too full of ideas i haven't thought of yet.

and time, clocks keep waving their hands,
doing all that they can to get our attention,
but the days fly away down a clean interstate
i'm staring drunk at a map.
so i let my hair down for the second time now,
for the final time, now i had my fun.
but there's no returning from the places we've been,
just repeat our slogan, "never again."

so we split, said you had to get out,
headed back to the south, where everything is gentle.
and i stayed for a couple weeks more,
all the weather reports said it would be snow for sure,
but the storm moved away to a neighboring state.
i started the car.

I jumped in the freezing river for my second polar plunge. My sister and I raised the most money for an individual person.
It was really bittersweet when they spoke about my father being one of their favorite jumpers.
Pretty much everyone at the boat club knew who he was and the crowd got pretty emotional.
It makes me really proud when I meet people who knew him, because everyone who knew him loved him.
He had the biggest heart in the whole world.

Overall, 2008 was a good year. The best part was meeting the person that I am confidant I will spend the rest of my life with.
I got a kitten, he's almost a cat now and we finally named him Cat Stevens.. we usually call him Mr. Stevens though.
I never thought there would be any place besides my mothers house that I would truly feel safe and at home
But I've lived in North Peoria with Drake for almost a year now and it feels like its been my home my whole life.
I've worked at Sullys for a full year now and the people that I work with have become my family.
I've been going to school and getting good grades. Accomplishment is a wonderful feeling.
That's pretty much all I can come up with for 2008, but all of those things mean a lot to me.

So I decided I wouldnt make some crazy resolution that I know I wont follow through with, so I decided that mine would be to continue going to the gym at least three times a week. Start taking vitamins like I used to, since I lack iron and protein.

And last, as silly as it seems, I would like to try to stay as happy and optimistic as possible. I want to be able to look back on my life and be happy with what i've made of it.

  Last night Drake and I went to Sprint so that he could buy me a new phone.
It was going to be one of my birthday gifts.
Turns out I hadnt upgraded in so long that it ended up being free!
Its a palm centro so its touch screen and has a little pen as well
It has crazy awesome organization tools- I'm so excited.
Also, I bought my christmas tree over the weekend.
We just set it up, and it looks so beautiful.
I love the holidays!

hithigellithigo nithigkkithigi! hahah omg we are wayy to weird sometimes but that is why i love you! we have to hang out soon again and i hope the sumo bun is unleashed tomorrow if you know what im saying.


Hahah ok so im done. However, Im still trying to get ahold of maggie to understand what she was talking about with a sumo bun being unleashed.

  Fox is sleeping on my legs right now & my restless leg syndrome is kicking in but i dont want to wake him up :(

I'm really upset that I dont get to go to Chicago on Saturday to see Connor.
However, my brother is home.. and thats whats important.  Hanging out with him and drinking good beer and listening to bright eyes, singing at the top of our lungs is just as good as being at the show in chicago, for me at least. Im so glad hes back.I know that he is miserable without his baby, I hope we can get her back somehow. I just want him to be happy for once in his life.

  I always forget how much I love fall until it gets here.
Ive started christmas shopping already,
and I think it was a really good decision, maybe I won't be completely broke this year.
I guess we'll see.

Yesterday Drake won a super cheesy hat that says 'happy halloween' out of one of those crane games.
It has stripes around it, like the colors of candy corn.
He's been wearing it around the house all day long and its halarious.
I love him.
